mauba dan ogale

this is a college assignment from a year ago. the study was about illustrating local folklore with traditional and digital media. i chose this story because it's absurd yet romantic


Long time ago in North Sulawesi (Celebes), lived Mauba and Ogale, each was the leader of a gang that fight each other. One day, Mauba took a walk and he saw Ogale playing with a rooster. Then Mauba came over, (without any exact explanation) asked her in peace to merge their gangs. And more surprisingly, he also proposed her to live together. So the stunned Ogale stated that she’d accept them all, on one condition. “You have to be able to touch my nose, lad,” said Ogale to Mauba. And here’s the never-ending battle!
